  Thoughts on the new 'God's Kingdom Rules!' book

  i was feeling a little melancholy earlier this week and i decided to start reading wt literature again, just to see what was new and improved.

  and it seems that, as has consistently been the case, the more i read of the literature, the more i see that i made the right choice to leave.. the first chapter goes into explaining what the kingdom is, then it looks like they must've essentially cut and pasted from the recent wt study articles about the 'harvest' illustration and about the two groups of anointed = one generation, but there's a third group of anointed who aren't part of 'this generation' (but, i imagine, probably will be someday, i mean, if two groups decades apart in age can be part of one generation, why not three?).

  it's interesting, looking at it again after all this time.

  All I know is the WT has gone grey. The Bible is ugly grey. And the Kingdom book is dismally grey. "Dark days are here, men live in fear," no kidding.

  Question for current and former elders: did you feel qualified to give counsel for depression?

  do you feel the counseling demands placed on elders are fair and scriptural?.

  i live in an economically depressed industial city.

  my dad is an elder in a lower income black congregation.

  If you missed the movie Decoration Day you have missed one of his best. Please watch it. It is a bit of a weeper and of course he was excellent. Very moving in so many ways. I think it was a Hallmark movie. It also starred Ruby Dee so its great all around. The whole movie is on Youtube! Amazing.

  I had a friend who had the ever unreliable verbal contract with a couple and they screwed him out of thousands of dollars. He lost his house. Great going there chumps. I knew both parites.
